JB4 v28.82 TUNE ONLY Dyno Results

Been awhile since I've posted a tune only dyno chart. BMS has recently released 28 series JB4 firmware which includes many new options I'll get in to later. Including a special for back end flash maps that enables a new map set within the JB4. Map 1 becomes 15psi, map 2 17psi, and map 7 19psi.

Here are some dyno runs of the new maps on a 100% stock N54 running E40 and the new matching E85 back end flash map. Impressive stuff for no bolt ons!

I'm not a scientist, but I'm pretty sure DCI's are a bolt on. Nice results nonetheless.

Welcome to 2009 lol those are almost expected results when you add E85 and a tune, even with no other parts. It's been done a thousand times (JB4, Accessport, etc.)

Only had my 335i for a few months so I'm still learning.. I've seen a few threads on people asking how to get to 400+hp and it seems easy enough with this setup, so apparently they didn't use the search feature lol..

But thanks for the welcome..

what I like is what the car is rated at 300 crank HP but gets 310 at the wheels

"The test car is a 2008 135i automatic, 92k miles on the clock, 100% bone stock except for a JB4+flash, DCI, and Fuel-It Stage1. Testing was done on 40% E85. "

The map 4 run is still with the DCI and E85 mix, still very impressive though.

And 14 degrees of ignition advance.

To clarify the car is tune + DCI only.

I am confused, and it may be because the images are not showing for me. What were the mods of the car on the dyno? What numbers are shown?

You can get the same numbers if not more if you run the OTS E30 map from Cobb. I'd much rather run a flash tune but that's just me.

Mike
~$550 in modifications, 2 mods to be precise, and we're looking at 100+ HP & 120 ft/lb over stock. That is truly amazing. Not a whole lot of platforms that can say a tune and intake gives those numbers.

Map 7 is intended for FBO + Race gas (E85 of higher ratios, or 100+)

Don't run Map 7 on just pump gas.

Im aware of map requirements. The reason why im asking is that because he dynoed the car with just dci and jb in all the maps with v28.82. Thats pretty sweet if just intake and tune+e85 and run that on daily.

not really, you can run Map 7 on race gas or race gas equivalent (E50+, meth) without any supporting modifications, you just get less timing advance.

This is true, I contradicted the main point of the post by saying FBO

It is basically a flash tune. JB4 is controlling boost. Backend flash timing and fueling. You can get these numbers with or without JB4.
