Best Wax for Estoril Blue?
Hi all,
Im a novice when it comes to cleaning cars, I've always just used auto glym shampoo and occaisionally auto glym aqua wax which looks ok when used but wandered if anyone has found a wax that makes the estoril blue look really special and shiny? I used meguirs wash and wax and that seemed a bit better than my normal set up but I'm well aware theres probably something out there that will really look the business with a bit of elbow grease.. Look forward to hearing some of your methods and products used |

Few threads on this on here. Don't think it matters what colour the car is.
Personally have bought supaguard sponges off ebay and used them. Then wash regularly and apply a layer of armour all over that. Clay bar every six months or so Works for my BSM 3 and wife's EB 1 |

Best wax for BMW.
http://www.swissvax.co.uk/product_de...cts/blau_weiss Check out clean your car for some 'How To' guides, also tons of products with decent reviews. Main bit is the prep, get as much time as possible spent on preparing the car. |

YouTube how to guides, some spot on videos out there.
Personally I'm an autoglym freak, use Aqua wax every time, strip it and if you wanna wax it use autoglym high definition wax AFTER you have clayed it and used autoglym super resin polish. I'm have EBII and it comes up beautifully...I'll see if I have a pic! |

Might pop along. Though always come away having bought something - and they really don't do discounts (even after haggling HARD). Brilliant products, been using them for over 15 years. My cars always look better than new. You can download a pdf of their handbook here : http://www.swissvaxhandbook.com D.

Jealous .... Admittedly you can spend a small fortune with them. I use their autobahn wheel wax, it's brilliant and lasts ages. BOS is excellent. Will be getting some stuff this month - it's probably easier having another woman, than it is spending money on car stuff without wife knowing too much lol. |

Well I've no idea if it's the best but I'm very pleased with the results from Dado Juice Blue Velvet wax. I picked up a trial pot for £4 from a show last summer and I'll get 4 uses out of it I reckon. Like this one:-
http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item...d=151448111671 I must admit I was swayed by the fact it was blue. That's probably of no consequence though.

genuine Carnuba wax is the best you can possibly apply to bodywork. its very expensive in its genuine form. about £90 for a small tub. used for very top end display and show cars such as rolls, ferrari etc
it is a pain in the arse to apply because removing it is like treacle not like the dusty basic polish. but carnuba will leave you with such a awesome finnish |

swissvax shield would be my recommendation, I use this then top it off with Best of show. The prep is key.

I don't actually do the EBII chav machine, but the garage queen comes up beautiful and black is f*cking awful to get right - swissvax makes it relatively easy |

This is actually getting rave reviews of recent, if you're not wanting to spend a fortune. I bought the light version for the missus car to try and it came up well, this wax has a slight filler in it also, so will mask any imperfections. A bit more difficult to work with though. More of a sealant than a wax I would suggest.

Majority of waxes are a mix with around 50% of carnauba. If you go for a higher grade 1 such as 95%, then you're in the £800 area. So £90 will likely get a lower % grade one or lesser grade. |

I fail to see how a £40k car is anyway 'council house and violent'
And then you post a picture of one of the ugliest cars on the planet?! Spec savers comes to mind, or is that too chav too? Anyway back to wax, I have to say the swissvax looks good, I've only really uses autoglym and some others, it comes up beautifully so...if it's not broken, don't fix it! |

Chav = Cheltenham average for me. The Johnson family can be quite aggressive in Cheltenham but do drive EBII 3 series
