Interested in the outcome too. I just picked up a 2014 328d... So far no engine issues, but I'm thinking I may want to get an extended warranty...

The window would go up to closed from a half down position, then return to halfway down instead of staying closed. And it did this over and over again until I turned off the car and then turned it back on again. The NAV wasn't any better. I set it to avoid highways, and it proceeded to route me on them anyway. I did notice that loaner getting noticeably better fuel mileage than my vehicle though; no doubt my engine problems are causing that reduction.

I'll report what I can of the outcome, but I expect to get hit with a confidentiality agreement like others have stated in some cases.
Sadness

Sorry we're going to lose a member of the diesel community, but your situation is ridiculous. Speaks to the BMWUSA philosophy of not wanting to believe an engine could fail and that there's a cheaper way of fixing a problem than replacement. Also says something about margins on car models - I'm sure it's higher on a Z4 and they're going to take a bath on that trade. Too bad, the dealer and BMWUSA made their bed, they have to sleep in it now.
