X5M Staggered delete.

Is it OK to get rid of the staggered configuration and simply use the front size wheels all around?
I have 20s.

I'm sure its possible but the question is why would you want to do that? I am sure Bmw M put staggered wheels on the X5M for a reason besides looks. The only reason I could think of is if you are using it for a winter setup which makes sense.

Have you looked into doing all-seasons on the staggered setup? On the E70 X5 with staggered 20" rims, people were able to run all-seasons. I believe the popular one was Continental DWS.

You need the same rolling diameter, the x drive is very sensitive. Buy a pair of winter tires, you will spend 110k spend and balk at 3k to get another set. All seasons why did you even bother buying the M car could have saved yourself 30k.

Don't wanna go through the Pain of changing wheels twice a year. I bought anM Car with an X. I might have to do the winter set in the end but I don't think exploring options is bad.
FYI the winter sets are also 19s All same. Not staggered not 20 or 21.

You can buy 20" Winters wheels/tires through BMW. Here's my set I bought a few weeks ago...611M 20" on Perilli Scorpion Winter 285/40R20Y, not staggered:

This.

The oem staggered wheels will easily last you 2 years unless you track your car.

The non-staggered setup will diminish handling, traction, and aesthetic. They're put there for a reason

19" All seasons are fine on a 30d, but they're an annual compromise - they suck in all seasons, but less than the wrong tire. You may as well not have bothered with the X5M to start with.

It's not a big deal to add a winter set, and your dealership will likely store it for free. I go in in November, have a coffee and a muffin, and wait while they switch out my rims from storage, mount them all, and check the air.

Same in reverse in ~March.

It's $40, twice a year. The rims will usually sell for ~70% of their original cost after a few years too.

Id love to know the compatibility of wheels from the E chassis to the F chassis. Is the center bore of 72.5 rear and 74 front still the same?

yes you don't need to stagger. most winter wheel packages aren't but are careful to retain same wheel+tire diameter so xdrive doesn't bug out

that said, your rear end will look really lame with skinny tires under flared wheel arches during the summer.

should have bought a cayenne - square set up std save for a bit of extra spacer on some models

Use this tool to calculate rolling diameter (especially comparing front to rear):

I finally had my Car on a lift. The front wheels fit perfectly on the rear. All 4 could be same.
NO PROBLEM.
Will switch to this config in winter.
