wheels spacers good for performance?
I'm looking for advice regarding wheel spacers. I plan to track my M3 and love the look of the 15 mm Macht Schnell's. Of course they tout the wider stance they give your car as a handling aid, but I am wondering about the cornering stress on the longer lugs, any additional play they may introduce, and added rotational mass from the spacers themselves. Am I worried about nothing, or are these legitimate concerns and I should avoid spacers?

You'll be fine. Although 15mmx2 width isn't going to increase performance. Get MS stud conversion while you're at it. It's much easier to swap out wheels with spacers.

For optimal handling performance, stick with the OEM offset (i.e. No spacers for stock wheels).
Spacers should only be used to bring back a wheel that does not have the correct OEM offset to start with. Changing the offset alters the spring and damper ratio relative to wheel travel. Further, on the front axle, spacers also alter the scrub radius and the required ackerman angle as the wheels are steered.
