High Beam Assist to ON/AUTO - Euro LED F82

Hi all,

Really sorry if this has been posted somewhere but I have searched the forums and google and can not seem to get it to work.

I got my M4 last week and am struggling to code so that the High Beam Assist (Adaptive LED Full beams) stays on auto/on.

Its a Euro version so the variable light and adaptive bits are all working from factory (guides round the cars) but I have to keep pressing the high beam assist button on the stick everytime the headlights come on (gets dark enough).

I have tried these codings:

FEM_BODY
(3050) FLA_AUTO_AKTIV = "aktiv"
(3060) FLA_AKTIVIERUNG = "werte=02"
(3073) C_HBA_ENA = "F020_enable=01 F030_enable=01"

KAFAS2
(3050) FLA_ON_OFF = "aktiv"

Any ideas?

Thank you

I am also curious to find this out. I don't have HBA on my car, but wish I could activate anti-dazzle high beams by having the HBA default to ON.

No one (as yet) has found a setting that codes HBA on by default on the F8x. Settings that historically have worked on other BMW's do not work on the F8x chassis for some reason.

Darn!

Thank you for letting me know. Fingers crossed there is a code somewhere.

Maybe they did this to prevent people like me who have not paid for the HBA option to get the option activated through coding.

Sorry, no I did not code this myself as I did not want HBA to auto-on. I came across this from a cheat sheet.

Any updates on how to code so that the high beam assistant is on by default on a F8x?

It's not possible on F8x or F3x.

Bump from the dead.

With the new software versions is this still a no go?

The only way for Canadians to get anti-dazzle working will be to buy the steering column stalk with the HBA button, assuming you have the proper hardware (LEDs and cameras for speed info)

Coding parameter only exists on vehicles with FRM (eg, F010 & F025); this is still the case.

Why not just buy the stalk? You should still have anyways to turn off if system fails and ends up glaring.

That's the plan, unfortunately its not just a single stalk, its a larger steering column peice. I'll eventually pick it up and test it out.
