Buying the dash with the hump
At first glance, it looks like all I need to do to get the hump is buy the top part of the dash. I plan to put in a CarPC and this hump can come in very handy.
Does anyone know what the part number is and how much it costs? I have an E92 M3 coming in March that I ordered w/o the hump. Thanks! |

Maybe this helps: http://bmwfans.info/original/E92/Cou...1/ill-51_5710/
Seems like the whole dashboard is one piece. In case you have ordered extended leather the dashboard is different (hence a different part number which is not listed yet). Besides that I don't know if there are any electronic components behind the dashboard mounted differently which made it impossible to change. Best regards, south |

Looks like it will be a bit more difficult than I had anticipated but it's doable. I will have to remove the steering wheel, electronics, and all the trim.
So it looks like the whole dash is only about $333 euro which is about $487? Seems awfully cheap. I might just do this. Also, everyone's been using the term hump but now I know it's technically called a SCOOP. Thanks southlight, that's exactly what I was looking for. |

thats a bactrian camel. Motor Trend has it at 0-60 in 14.5 mins. but it was hot that day, so not ideal track conditions. back to the OP, i think that it might look a lot easier than it actually will be. removing all of that crap is going to be very complicated and it might have a very bad ending...
