I noticed the below that was in the model update on the home page labeled " Excite, X3, X4, 340i, 440i MPPK" Could it be possible they would have a 35i in transverse engine mounted car, I did not think there was room.

Update 6/20/15 (I hope this is big enough to make up for the long silence):

F39 is still using the "Xcite" designation. Whether or not it will be marketed as X2, is unclear. The good news is that in addition to the FWD and AWD 25i models (probably to be marketed in the U.S. as 28i), there will be the xDrive35i model.

It won't be the N55, but rather a 300-350hp version of the B48. Remember that the straight six is becoming the B58 and marked as the 40i. Only Volvo is dumb enough to transversally mount straight sixes and they're even getting out of that game.
