Bad news on X6 V8 availability

I just canceled my 335 order and changed it to an X6 50i and sales manager just told me that production for the V8 just got bumped to August because of EPA problems and it will now be a 2009 model but the X6 V6 model is still set for production in April. Bummer because now I have to wait 6-7 months.

The V8 was scheduled for August/September for a long time, the first time I heard this was Jan. 10th, but then it was the first time I seriously requested information regarding the beast...

X6 x50i production for the UK isn't scheduled to begin until October/November with first deliveries in December 2008.

Interesting.* Hope that is not the same for the US.* I was told by the my GM that US X6 models will be assembled in South Carolina and not Germany and he confirmed that production would be August/September and could possibly start one month earlier if EPA problems are cleared up sooner.

i went to the dealership the other day because my sister was looking to get her hands on one of the incoming 1 series, but anyways i ask the sales rep about the x6 and he told me too that the x6
v6 would be coming out first and the v8 a few months later...just trying to reconfirm what you know

Now it is a long waiting game for me which really sucks but I will sure it will be worth the wait, not to mention the kinds of HP that can be extracted from piggyback systems. Should be pretty awesome!
