Hi-Fi loudspeaker system

So thats what i have in my car and can't wait to try it out when i pick it up! I'm a hip hop (concious genre) enthusiast and i do love my bass pumping whenever i'm listening to my de la soul or tribe called quest, how good is the bass on the loudspeaker system? I'm not the boy racer type so i don't care if people outside can hear the thumping, i'm more concerned with how it sounds for me and whatever passenger i might have

Would love any info i could get from those of you that have this system, thanks.

Also i still can't make up my mind whether i should debadge my car or not opinions please!!!

Well HiFi does sound quite a bit better than the standard setup, and well worth the upgrade IMHO. The bass is plenty loud enough for me, but it depends what you're used to.

That's down to personal taste - a few people think it looks "cleaner". My advice would be to take a picture of your car and photoshop it to give you some idea how it's going to look.

BTW, Sparkling Graphite with Jade leather is a nice combination. I went for Sparkling Grpahite with Black, which is ok, but perhaps a bit dark overall. I saw a SG+Jade E92 and the contrast worked very well.

I can't wait to hear my Individual Sound System - I bought it blind on the theory that Hi-Fi was good so it must be 'even better'.

Does anyone have it who could comment?

Well the logic 7 is awesome so I can only imagine that the Individual system is even better

Can the bass thump be heard loudly from outside the car with the windows rolled up?

Hi bablo, I went for the Hi-Fi upgrade from having the O/E in the E90. I know enough about music etc. to categorically state that the upgrade is worth it. My Volvo T5 had dolby surround sound and 13 speakers and was a fantastic system, the Hi-Fi upgrade from BMW does still not match the Volvo system but is a definate improvement from standard.

Yes, the thump from the bass can be heard loudly from outside the car, even with the windows up.

To de-badge or not to de-badge. Personal taste and choice, I think to anyone in the know, your exhaust gives it away to a degree, other than that it's something else to clean? I always got the feeling that on my E90 330i M sport, some of the Corsa/Saxo brigade were not sure what the car was despite the twin exhausts. Bit more obvious on the E92 335d.

Squeeze - What was required for the upgrade from Std to HiFi - Can you give an idea of cost?

Thanks.

I have my E46 and the upgrade from standard sound to my Harman Kardons was well worth it. E90 order goes in within the next month or so, and I too think I will probably go for the Individual Hi Fi. I've never heard the Logic 7 or the Individual, and I hope I wont be disappointed.

Any reports on the Individual?

The hi-fi is fine.

2 reasonable subs under the front seats.

Lound enough for explicit lyrics to upset passers by ........

I got Hi-Fi too, and I like the sound. The bass is of course not like having a big subwoofer in the trunk, but good for a OEM system.

G33 has the Individual Sound system - not too impressed (http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...9&postcount=18).

The logic 7 system can be heard very clearly outside, it's mainly the bass which sounds like it's an aftermarket system (the vibrations)

I've got the HiFi upgrade and its money well spent since the test drive model had the standard system - which was awful. It was like listening to a walkie-talkie stuck in the corner of the dashboard.

As far as the bass is concerned, it is plenty to enjoy music. If you're expecting your seats to shake, or let passers-by know of your mighty presence, opt for the retrofit subs shown above

Thread from the dead and all that but it saves cluttering the place up .

I have the BMW Loudspeaker system with USB/AUX input which I deem to be "OK" but I'd like more. The mids & tweeters do a good job of delivering the notes but the under seat subs don't have the punch that I want. This is in an E93 by the way.

I believe this system is amp'd through a separate amplifier hidden somewhere in the boot or near side rear trim panel so my question is, would I gain from either upgrading the amp i.e. will the OE subs take it or should I run those popular Earthquake subs off of the OE amplifier? I assume neither will be plug & play so will require wire cutting, crimping and spade connectors?

Thanks

Does the standard audio not come with the subs under the seats?

Professional does, but not business. That said, I think Pro is standard on the E9x unless you go for business Nav.
