Issue keeping air

About 2 months ago I hit a pothole strait on and blew the tire off the bead. I am running Bridgestone DriveGuards 225/45/17 on the stock style 285s. Since the tire had less than 12k miles and was less than a year old, it was replaced for free through Bridgestone's 1yr. road hazard. The tire developed a slow leak almost immediately and after the 3rd time airing up, the firestone dealer replaced the tire again. Problem is, I am still having the issue. They inspected the wheel at the time of replacement and said it looked fine and there are no balance issues. The darn thing just looses about 8psi every 3-4 days. Any help out there from the gurus?

If you've had the problem with different tires, it's probably the wheel. It was probably not inspected thoroughly enough by whoever diagnosed it as healthy.

that was my thought too. although the rim does not appear to be bent. Anyone know where I can get a style 285 for cheap...or should i take it to a wheel repair shop?

It can't be the tire. Was the wheel checked for bends or cracks?

My last guess... Did you check if the valve stem is leaking? 8 lbs in 3-4 days is a moderate leak.
