End links longer or shorter?

My car is lowered on H&R springs, with the Koni Yellows.

I have a whiteline sway bar installed also. I am getting a knocking on bumps. I think the sway bar is hitting the front subframe.

I have adjustable end links.

Do I make them longer or shorter than the stock ones?

Is impossible for the sway bar links to hit the subframe but to answer you question: on lowered e9x longer on the front and shorter in the back.

The sway bar is hitting the subframe, not the links

Same, I don't think the swaybar could be hitting the subframe. Please post photos from where the parts are hitting each outer.

If it sounds like the swaybar but you haven't actually seen where it's making contact then it could be the control/tension arm bushings if you haven't loosened and re-torqued them at the new ride height. They'll begin to make a clunking sound after a while and it sounds exactly like it's coming from the swaybar.

I installed new M3 ones all around. I might have to loosen and retorque them at the ride height.

thanks for the tip

it doesn't matter for m3 contorl arms due to their design.

agreed in front but disagree in rear being shorter. It would completely load rear sway.

No, the link is mounted on the lower control arm (lower from the sway bar) and when you lower the car the control arm and sway bar will get closer and for that reason the link need to be shorter if you want to avoid pre-load. Longer will do just the opposite.

I 100% know for a fact mine are not pre-loaded. I put them in with car on ground and if shorter would have preloaded sway bar.

I hope this photo will explain you why need to be shorter on the rear.

I totally understand your reasoning, I have taken many rear subframes out of 335's. Also, the M3 bushings also put sway in bind ect
