[E91 M Sport]

I picked up a 2012 M Sport E91 a couple weeks ago, sold my old ride (SRT6), and now want to give this long roof some more aggressive looks.

I question which spring to purchase because, from my understanding, the M Sport is about 20mm lower than the standard models and I know this will affect the total drop I'm able to achieve. So I'm on the hunt for some insight from fellow lowered E91s and what they're running. Thanks!

What I have bought -for a more aggressive look- but not yet installed, is the following:
- BMW 513M rims (18 '')
- Black M Performance grill
- Blackline Taillights
- KW V3 Suspension
- M Performance Exhaust System

Your car is a nice ride, although the rims are way too standard for my taste. I would definitely take a better one (I like the VMS VB3 in gunmetall 19 '' very much, but 19'' is unfortunately not usable for me)

These two cars are for my taste the top of the line.

The one with 513M rims is standard 335xi suspension as far as I know. The one with the VMR VB3 has 3 mm distance plate on each side, but about the suspension I don't have information.

I couldn't agree more on the size of my stockies. I'm going for some 20s, thinking the Brathurst from TSW. The height on the last one is what I'm shooting for. Those rides are way clean

It was the Chrysler Crossfire. Screw type blown V6 good for 350hp. It was a fun car but it was getting long in the tooth.

Such a different feel going from a supercharged engine to a normally aspirated one that likes to rev. All these posts on exhaust systems lately has me also wanting to do some exhaust mods too. Headers for the SRT were almost nonexistent and unattainable at a price point of $2500!!!

I don't know anything about these wagons, do they not come with an N54/N55 at all, they're all N52? Or are the 335 versions just really rare?

From what I understand, and correct me if I'm wrong, the 2012 was only available with the n52 or the diesel. I'm 100% noob to bimmers and so far it's been impossible to find build numbers on M Sport e91s.

E91 was available as 335i or 335d in Europe, but we don't get those in US.

I'm lowered on ST coilovers with standard 16" wheels, which I'm too ashamed to show. Wasn't really looking to lower the car (but what the heck), just wanted to firm up the non-sport suspension.

That's really Shitty, I'd trade my 335 SE in a heartbeat for a 335 wagon, I knew I've never seen one, but thought it was just really rare In Canada.

Springs - in the UK most people seem to opt for eibach. In the US H&R seem popular. The difference being the latter offers more drop, but harsher ride. UK roads are crap, so H&R are much less popular.

For me the next step is coilovers. The more you pay the better they'll be!

Removing the roof rails makes them look more aggressive, IMHO, as does the usual black grilles/LED Angel Eyes swap, especially on your color car. One thing you might consider is having your 193M wheels powder-coated with a gunmetal grey finish to match the car? Don't black them out, that's cheesy, but the gunmetal looks really nice. The 193M's are the only factory wheels I've ever had on a car that I haven't felt compelled to immediately swap out. I can't give you advice on springs because I'm on my stock M-Sport ride height.

I'm most definitely going to swap wheels. The more I'm reading I might go with coilovers for the ride and drop I'm after. I also agree that I need to black out the kidney grill to match the mouldings.

Just pulled the trigger on some ST coilovers from tunersports.com, they had a special for $860! Tomorrow I should receive my TSW Bathurst wheels in the gloss gunmetal. 20x9s. Super excited!!!!!

Not an e91, but I LOVE my ST's. When getting them installed and aligned, ask to get the factory toe-in taken out. It really wakes up the car.

Hmmm interesting. Do you know how much toe-in is in the factory specs? You didn't have then take ALL of it out did you? I don't think I'd like that much aggressiveness in my steering.

Here's my 2012 E91 on ST coilovers, plus 10mm spacers in front and 12 in back. Not wound all the way down, just enough to get the top of the tire into the fenders. Stock 17" wheels and tires, obviously. (Not the best pictures, I just got the coilovers installed Friday, I need to find a nice picture taking spot.)

Hey guys, figured I'd ask here before making a new thread... but will the st coilovers for an e91 Xi fit on my e92 xi?? I've heard they will fir fine but the spring rates are stiffer due to the added weight. Just wanted some clarification before I pulled the trigger. I found the same deal for 860 shipped. For that price, idc about a little stiffer spring lol

What Are the Part Numbers on the ST coils you are running? Are they specific to the E91/93 due to weight or are they just the E90 ones?

I am trying to figure out if I can run normal E90 suspension on my new to me E91.
