Rear Camber Adjustable Arms
Does anyone have a DIY for replacing the rear camber arms? I've got rear toe arms and rear camber arms coming in on Monday and was thinking about changing them out myself. I know the rear toes you just have to remove those M12 bolts and bam you're good but what about the camber arms? I can't seem to find any pictures or any DIY on it.

Is the same procedure. You just remove the bolts.
This link will give you an idea: http://www.pelicanparts.com/BMW/tech...eplacement.htm But why are you replacing the lower control arm? |

Camber arm's the big mama yer shocks 'n' springs're mounted on. There is no other arm to adjust camber.... Regardless, ain't rocket science for any suspension arm: Unbolt & remove; reverse procedure w/new arm. Naturally you'll want to support the wheel and if necessary loosen other arm bolts/nuts so the suspension can move around if you're having trouble fitting the new arm in. And we always work with a calibrated torque wrench....yes. But there is one thing to know: If you're R&R'g the camber arm you need to support it with a floor jack coming out & going in. Why? 'Cause the spring's compressed by the camber arm. If that doesn't make sense, time to back way, way up and re-evaluate until it's fully understood what's involved! And: You'll need an alignment when done. Unless....you live for danger! |

But yes, stock camber adjustment is only via the lower control arm.
