Anyone did aftermarket sensors in Melbourne?

Sorry to trouble you guys but has anyone fitted aftermarket sensors in Melbourne? My best friend just bought a 318i e46 and is wanting to fit sensors on it. Any recommendations to where to get it done without breaking the bank with high quality installation. Car is white and we have 0 skills in DIY

Maybe the mass air flow sensor? I heard they encourage the ecu to deliver more fuel.

Typically if parking sensors were a factory option the factory uses the same mould to manufacture either variant. This means there will be circles on the inside of the bumper to mark the holes. They are perfect guides for you to drill the holes.

You can get cheap kits on ebay that are a reasonable match for the OEM sensors:

Can get yourself oem ones as well, you'll need sensors, the pdc control unit and the wiring loom. Unless you get lucky you'll have to paint those sensors as well. Since its just a 318i, I wouldn't bother and just go the cheap route.

Not sure how these things are wired to detect reverse. I don't see a signal input so the power for the box might need to be switched on via a relay when reverse is selected. Simple job for the average auto installer though.

Plenty of installers who do this for a few hundry but will charge you for paint matching the sensor holes. I looked at this for my last car, almost brought a electro magnetic system that lines the inside of the rear bumper with a detector strip thing. There are no sensor holes in the bumper and is easy to install...
