Rear Window Defrost Time?

One for all of you in the colder states:

How long does it usually take for the rear defroster to clear the rear window of frost? Mine always seems to take upwards of 3min or so.

Mine takes forever and does a very poor job. It takes at least 10-15 minutes. when i turned it in for service they keep it over night and said it was exceptable. Anyone else have any problems with the rear defroster?

Yes I have severe problems. After owning my 320I SE now for 9 months the rear defrost sometimes only starts working after approx 15-20 mins drive and on other days it works fine and defrosts immediately, clearing the window in 1-2 mins

Same here. They should just use the same element that they use for the seats.
