Where to buy E85 in Melbourne

Not sure whether anyone's noticed but the number of United petrol stations selling E85 has started to dwindle.

Hence, does anyone know the closest petrol station to Melbourne CBD that I can buy E85 from?

Cheers,

Nash

Just google "United petrol stations E85". It will show you a E85 store locator list for your area

Was that entirely accurate + up to date? I thought they were removing E85 from certain stations yet they still displayed as available on the website?

What shits me is that there are quiet a few new cars on the road that are made to run on E85 (new commodores) for example. If they shut down all the E85 pumps then manufactures will not design any new cars to run E85. What an absolute shame

Or you can run Caltex E Flex, which is rated between E70-E85 depending on the season

How about buying a barrel?

http://powerplusfuel.com.au/shop_pro...tml?product=87
http://www.cheetahracefuels.com.au/pricelist.html

Ethanol doesn't go off like petrol does so you can store it longer. Ethanol absorbs moisture though. This is E98/E100 so youd need less of it to get up to your ratio

Does seem a bit more expensive though

Its really expensive for daily driving! Ive got a PowerPlus distributor 10mins from my house which is awesome and is always in stock. Ive got a few drums of PowerPlus 110+ sitting in my garage for race days
