year end lease protection

i don't see how this is not worth it? $33/month x 36 = $1188. This includes replacing the run flat tires which I am told is at least 600 a piece. Plus covers $5000 of total damage at end of the lease. I keep reading other places that people think this is a waste of money but the tires alone make it worth it. any thoughts?

Whoever is feeding you the $600 a tire wants you to spend the extra money. It's just short of $200 each on tirerack.

Sounds like a great deal - for the dealership and the salesman - $400 markup over RETAIL times four tires = $1,600 unearned profit they can laugh about over a beer (at your expense of course)

So is the lease end protection worth it? I didn't get it and I don't want to spend $1000+ to replace the run flat tires

Negotiate the cost. You easily knock it down below $1k.

I guess it would be worth it if you count labor into the run flat replacements. But you may or may not need replacing on those run flats before your lease ends. What happens then?

At the very least get the wheel & tire warranty, tires can be very expensive.
