I found a Combox in my car. Can I activate my GPS????

So, this morning I was trying to install the Bimmertech Amp and I removed the trunk padding to find this..

My car does not sport a GPS. So I donno what the hell this is. Can anyone give me insights or tell me what I can do with this?

No, you need a different head unit (iDrive) to get navigation.

The Combox provides for Enhanced Bluetooth (EBT) and more media support.

If you don't have EBT, then you can enable it via coding.

It provides:

1. The ability to stream music from your phone via Bluetooth (no cable needed) assuming it's not already enabled.

2. Connect two phones to the car simultaneously. Outgoing calls go though the primary phone and incoming calls from either phones can be handled by the car.

3. Adds Office support. You can receive SMS and e-mail and read them on the iDrive screen.

Yes, but BMW Apps requires that you purchase an FSC (enable) code must be imported into the car. You can't enable BMW Apps just via coding.

You'll need to replace your head unit and screen as well as HU_ENTRY does not have the 9C BMW Apps FSC function.
