[CYL]

On my way home from work just now, the half engine light came on.
I used bmwhat app did a scan and on first attempt, no result...

Second scan shows:
002A87 - exhaust vanos variable cam control test, mechanical

003100 - boost pressure control 2

May I ask what might be wrong?
IDrive says that it is ok to drive, and since I bought the car for 1.5 months only, will get it back to dealer and have a check, but, is it safe to drive to the dealership? Will the full engine light comes on and makes me stranded?

I checked online and it could be the exhaust vanos solenoid had failed, or maybe the charge pipe is cracked?
Will these be covered by statutory warranty?
Or if not, should I get independent mechanic to fix it for me since it will be cheaper than BMW dealer?
