Is this the same as the pollen filter?

When I got the Z4 serviced they initially didn't have the filter in stock. They asked me to take it back in, and it took about 10 mins to fit... I just waited for it. I think it was located somewhere down at the passenger footwell area.

if it's the filter that filters cabin air, that takes like 2 minutes to change. Only 6 8mm fasteners to remove

That's the one. Just had mine done.Took 30 minutes and that included the car being washed.

I would just wait with the car.Pointless leaving it.

To reset a brake pad warning, all you have to do is replace a worn sensor and or pads and then turn the ignition off and then back on and leave it for upto 1 minute.

The system works by the sensor comming into contact with the brake discs when they wear and creates an open circuit.

By checking or simply removing the sensor if its defective, leaving the ign on will allow it to reset.

You can change them at any time, for the cost I allways put a new one in periodically. They change to a dark grey colour and as all the air that goes into the passenger cabin passes through it and we breath it in, for the cost, I change them anyway when I sense the slightly musty smell... But thats just me.

Did you try leaving the ignition on for 1 min without the engine running?

Depends where you drive

If you drive in a hot desert - then it'll be round quick.
(Just because there is a hosepipe ban in summer in Essex it doesn't count)

Check yours through your stalk or idrive (delete as applicable).

Mine is going to be due at 43k - but as i've seen it may not really of relevance to any non si cars. As the sparks were changed at 25k ish.

Hi Ant,
I've got the rear brakepad replace warning also. I've tried to reset the warning light but that doesn't work so I reckon the pads are actually worn (there's 50K miles on the car, I bought it with 40K miles). I'm gonna buy the pads and fit them tomorrow if necessary. Do you know does the sensor come with the pads or will it be a separate item? I'm assuming if the pads are OEM that the sensor will be separate..

Thanks in advance.
