Trunk Liner - Amp Upgrade

I have read a great post on removing the left trunk liner to replace the stock amp. I have a 2012 F30, June built. The hard rectangular plastic on the left side of the trunk the one with a small net, lifts out and has a cut out in the liner. I can access the amp from there. There is another hard plastic over the amp though. My question is do I have to remove the trunk liner. Or can I just replace the amp by accessing it from the cut out below the left plastic with a net. Thanks for the help.

You need to remove the trunk liner.

You have to remove the trunk liner to gain access to the screws holding the amp and wiring harness.
