F80 Steering Wheel option?
So my 335 has the M steering wheel without the paddles and while I was looking at retrofit options I came across this on eBay:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/262099048433...torefresh=true I assume my airbag should be compatible, just wondering if its worth the upgrade or should I play it safe and do the retrofit? |

The frame is the wheel is identical, but if you don't have paddles then you will need to remove these are fit your front & rear trims, and your buttons.
The rear trim differs between cars with / without paddles, and between M3/4 and regular cars, so you would need an M3/4 rear trim without paddles to use the M3/4 front piece.

This wheel will bolt up to your 335 and you just need to swap the airbags. If this was an M6 steering wheel, you'd have to swap some internals on the paddle shifters to make everything work. Let me know if you have any other questions. Overall this seems like a good deal as the real M wheel gets you the nice tri-color stiching. I retrofitted my stock m sport wheel to get this same look but i was stuck with the same plain black sticking. I would pull the trigger and try to sell your old wheel for $100-250.

No problem. You should be able to simply swap it over without any issues!

Is your car an automatic and are you wanting to make the paddles work? If so then it's an easy job. I had assumed you had a manual.
If you are not going to use the paddles then the issue is with the front trim. If you just want the M stitching, and reuse your existing front /rear trims, you will be fine. If you use the rear M trim then you will have big holes where the paddles would go.
