M2 chances of ordering?

Hey guys,

What are the realistic odds of actually being able to order one of these??

At launch? Pretty slim if you're not already on a "list".

I think 2016 in general will be slim. They're only supposed to bring 600 the first year in the US (supposedly)

Should most well established dealers get at least 2?

I would not ask this question on an enthusiast forum. You will get the responses like 'oh its too late, you will never get one!'. We are a very very small minority of people that are into this types of cars. There are many many BMW dealerships out there and even if you are not on the waiting list and allocations have been started to come out you can still get one if you do your homework and try. Be ready to call many many dealers and keep track with an excel spread sheet, etc. Also be ready to travel anywhere in the USA. If you are than you should be able to get one.

I have yet to see this from anyone resembling an official source. Perhaps factual for the 2016 model year (SOP for 2017 should be 07/16 based on the rest of the 2 series) but not the calendar year.

It's not an official source for sure. But the fact that I've heard it 3 times from 3 completely different people that don't know each other (all said 600) makes me inclined to believe it's true.

But you are correct, I don't know if they meant calendar year or MY16.
