Do you have to have the adaptive modules or can you code them out when retrofitting? I just purchased a set of shells myself and am trying to figure out what to do next. Thanks!

You'd likely need the adaptive modules since they control the direction that the actual projectors aim. If one is aimed down and the other is up, I'm not sure how it would correct itself without the AHL modules.

I think I read somewhere that there's a manual adjustment bolt on the top of the shells but I may be wrong. I'm hoping I can do without the adaptive modules because that requires other sensors to be wired also.

There are two manual adjustment screws that move the entire inner housing, but the projectors move independent of those.
