Clearcoat on coilovers in winter time
I'm just curious how many have done this. I was going to clearcoat my coilovers I bought(STs) and put marine grease on them every winter. We get enough snow and salt here, just curious if others have done this. I only did marine grease on my other coilovers in the past. One of my friends who's a tech at BMW told me to put clearcoat to keep it from corroding in the winter.
Thanks!

I bought my coilovers used and the shocks had small rock chips that I was afraid would rust with the salt/snow (original owner was from SoCal). I clearcoated them and haven't had a problem since. |

Then I'll do that! Thanks for replying guys. I almost decided to return them and get the V1's since they're identical but not stainless steel.
