INPA Help
So after one winter of rough cold idles, and timing dropping on cyl 2 and 4 after meth install, it's become obvious I have some failing injectors... I ordered a set of 3 new ones to do a whole bank, but i'm running into an issue with INPA. I've searched quite a bit to try to figure out what's wrong but haven't had any success with my issue. I'm assuming\hoping with how many people have had small issues ( what i'm assuming this is ) that someone will chime in with an easy fix\know what's wrong. I'm getting both black lights upon starting INPA, but once I select e90, and select msd 80 n54, I get errors when I try to do ANYTHING beyond that point. When I go into select injector timing, this is what I get.
And then after clicking yes, I get this. Help is seriously appreciated in advance, would like to get these injectors installed ASAP. |

On a somewhat related note
I have and old version of Inpa with some old files that will
do my airbags and some of the stuff under the Karrosserie menu selection but the new version using daten 56 basically won't do anything in this menu. I am wondering if you can be to upto date. I am looking at the dates in the old files and there is nothing newer than July 05 and I feel this is to old for the Kombi module on a 6/06 build . The new version seems to work well with the motor selections but I am kind of wondering if I could get into trouble coding with files that are to new? I think the daten level at the time the car was built would be something like 25 according to the charts. I also tried putting a level 52 daten in the old Inpa , ediabas folders. Same stuff with the Karrosserie menu. |

I'm in the same position myself. Have had failing injectors for quite a while.
Does anyone know if you can use INPA 5.0.2 using MSD 80 to code the injectors on a newer 09' 335i with the MSD 81 ECU? Or is 5.0.6 necessary? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! |

The install from wildcatcrazy is the easiest one
The install from wildcatcrazy is the easiest one
and also has the best English. His install is Run Tools 2.12 copy his version over yours (from 2.12)Load the program with datens via BMW coding Tool Done . Also had to add the gdatens to NFS I think for winkfp for the 64 bit version from e70 ecu file. I have tried several different versions and basically got them all to work in the Engine section. There are certain sections in all of these however that don't work with the menu Karrosserie and airbag and the one I have from 3 to 5 years ago does. In the chassis airbag section I am getting message like incompatible version or file not found or sometimes compile errors. Tried several different versions of the datens 56 and 52 and loading the newer datens into the old version via BMW tools 2.5. I not sure if there are shared files that exist in the other chassis . I would think you would need the Base folder and the e89 folder . I have tried loading up at least all the e series folders and that didn't seem to make a difference. Thanks for the offer of remote help but I think if I can't fix it from instructions I probably don't want to risk it. I am not in a hurry to do anything. stealskillz did you load up any set of daten files? Also you might want to try Rheingold ista as a more complete user friendly solution to diags and adjustments. It does have a learning curve to though. Last edited by ctuna; 11-02-2015 at 06:45 PM.. |

It seems to not let me do anything with the car at all. I've got the injectors installed, and man what a world of difference just idling.. ( I had to move the car out of the garage, only moved it about yards, let it run a little to charge the low battery and shut it off since I know you're supposed to get the injectors coded fairly quickly after) Hopefully I can figure out what's wrong with my INPA so I can drive the car again :\
