Ebay Cree LED Angel Eyes
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/251955795725?....N41.S1.R1.TR1
I bought these angel eyes for my car and they weren't as bright as I thought they would be. I read that coding the voltage would make them significantly brighter. Would coding them do anything since they are LEDs? Anyone here that brought aftermarket Cree LEDs and coded them make any difference? Thanks |

I have some eBay ones and coded up the voltage with Carly to the highest. It was a _tiny_ bit brighter, but not by much.

A good LED bulb will use a constant current driver....meaning, any input voltage will output the same current regardless of the input voltage value.
If your LED units use a vreg setup to power the LEDs, coding can make them brighter. However, the heatsinks are already barely enough as it is. If you increase brightness, you also increase power consumption which translate to more heat. Too much heat will kill the LEDs. |

You'll likely blow them or shorten their life significantly. They run too hot as it is, especially without fans. As you increase brightness you increase heat.
When you increase heat on LED you lose brightness. So at first they may seem brighter but the difference will be next to nothing and you'll just risk frying them. That's my .02 |
