Line Lock installed - success!
I recently bought a second hand line lock from BostonBeemah, and I couldn't be happier with the results.

Unless you're a 1/4 mile addict, you don't need to know.

If you want to do a good burnout in the 335, you need a line lock. This is critical for those of us that race the car.

A line lock is a device that allows the front brakes to lock independently of the rear brakes via a switch, so you can spin the back wheels without the car moving off the line. Good way to leave your money on the pavement (not on the tires) for those who need to do that.

Thanks. I'm looking forward to being able to heat the tires next time I'm at the track. This may also allow me to build more boost on the launch, in theory.

Thanks. No LSD.
I'm sure you could piece a setup together, but I don't know specifics. I could offer up help with the wiring though.

Enjoy it brother! One of the best investments in the car. Saves your rear brakes from getting killed every time you need to heat up the rear tires at the track. Very clean install as well!

As the OP stated this is for drag racers who run slicks or some sort of drag radial tire. Drag racers do burnouts to increase the temp of the tires to help activate the sticky compounds in them that allow for greater traction off of the line. |

I want one but they aren't dot approved (at least the AR design which is the only one for BMW I know of) and people have suggested not the best idea for a daily.

I have a you tube video on the line lock kit install...check it out. It was the AR design kit from ecs tuning.

Currently I already have the stainless brake lines installed... which components will need to buy separately (and where)?
