Any Transmission fluid to recommend? Thinking of changing the Transmission fluid. Not sure if it has been changed before. N52 6 speed auto transmission. Not sure ZF or GM though.

For the slime inflator, they recommended me a pressurised bottle when I went to Repco previously.
They said that it is a new product, shake well before use, and just inject the whole can through the tyres valve, no need to use the traditional inflator.
Anyone uses this before?

I believe that product has been around for awhile.

So, is the traditional slime inflator kit or that pressurised gas can product better?
If the traditional one is better, it's time for me to bring it back home too.

They both serve the same purpose... with the inflator you can put in the correct air pressure and with the can you are only guessing.

I would suggest in your case to get the inflator, purely because if you over-use the can and inject too much slime into the tyre, when you eventually get it repaired properly you will probably have too much slime in the tyre where it won't be able to be balanced again.

Thanks.
But I recall the inflator type is injecting the whole bottle of sealant into the tyres?
Same for the pressurised gas can.
So, I think slime pre determine the amount in each bottle/can for one tyres.

I feel a bit uncertain how the gas can type can inflate the tyres whereas the inflator has a compressor to inflate the tyres.
Also, I heard that once the sealant is inside the tyres; the tyres can't be used anymore?

Yeah but you can see the amount of PSI you put in the tyre so you can have a rough idea of how much slime is in there, how can you know the same values for the can? After the tyre reaches over 30psi it will be very hard for you to determine how much pressure is actually in it. If you are worried about tyre shops refusing to repair your tyre then go buy a tyre plug kit. That means you have to be competent enough to do your own repair... which is near impossible if your car is lowered

It depends on what type of sealant, the BMW sealant is generally not recommended to be re-used but you can wash slime off the tyre as long as you haven't injected a whole can of slime into it. The internet is a good place to learn but not everything is correct, I think you do a little bit too much research and not enough application to actually get a better understanding.

This compressor system is a better. Allows you to fill air in your tyres without putting slime if you don't need to. Good for inflating your tyres at home and not having to go to the petrol station.

Certain slimes will be pretty hard to remove after application. Looking at hte product page the product for sale here is water soluble, so should be relatively easy to clean off. You will probably have to dismount the tyre though, so thats an extra cost to incur. If its a minor leak you may be better off pumping up the tyre periodically and get it plugged rather than using the slime straight away.

I am going to get the compressor one.
Was tempted by the sales to buy the pressurised gas can type last time

My rear left tyres does have a minor leak, I have to pump it once every 1.5-2 weeks, psi drops to 28-29.
Not going to change it as I am going to change the rims later, and petrol station is just about 150m outside my house. Will do the rims + tyres all together.

Plugs are Bosch zgr6ste2 and I don't think they sell them at supercheap online.

If you need to buy a bunch of parts, buy the plugs from FCPeuro. Shipping is around 35 or so usd so might want to get a few other things to make it worthwhile

I've got that same kit, never had to use it touch wood. Although I drive sydney to wagga so often so it's bound to come in handy eventually. I think I paid about $50 at an autobarn sale 4 months ago.
