Looks like it is sold out at the moment.
that site, btw, is awesome. Limited quantity stuff from manufacturers that don't have the size/scale to sell on their own etc. Touch of Modern facilitates the sale and ships etc. You'll find some really cool stuff on there... always changing. From clothing to electronics to art etc. Definitely worth bookmarking.

It said it was similar to what they use to bond teeth in dental work. Doesn't seem much different from a sort of epoxy. I wouldn't call that welding at all.

It's basically epoxy - I think I saw the creator was a dentist. Lots of my friends are dentists and they use UV lights to cure pretty much anything from fillings to adhesives used on major procedures.
Novel use, but it's not a new invention. I could see it being useful for certain applications. And it's being sold pretty much everywhere, even if it's sold out on that site. Amazon sells it right now. |
