CarlyForBMW - Battery registration?

So, before I splash out on a new AGM battery, I'd like to make sure that the CarlyForBMW app + OBD adapter I have can actually manage to deal with it.

Am running a regular battery today but would like to swap for AGM as it is going on 5 years now.

The question I am wondering about is this:

If I swap for an AGM battery with higher capacity, two things will be needed.

- resetting of battery parameters and charging pattern
- registration of battery (FA code)

Will the CarlyForBMW app handle both of these or only the resetting?

I really don't want to end up going to the dealer and getting ripped off even more, because they recognize that I tried and failed DIYing it.

Cheers,

H.

Yes carly will handle it. Just be sure to have a decent wifi obd adapter.

I coded my AGM battery few months ago. Summer to be precise.

Make sure you rating number is close to your cars specs. The rest is all done on the app. You'll need to purchase the $10 battery registration within the app

And be sure to code while your car is on(started)

Yeah, it's not too bad.... However, I noticed you're in Nashville. Let me know if you need help and I can do it for you. I have a complete dealership and engineering level setup for working on BMWs.
