Nice, you got a 6MT! Looks to be in nice condition. How many miles on the Audi?

Love the 4.2 motor. Had it in my Touareg! Only downside is its constant thirst for premium fuel!

They drive similar to an E90, just a bit softer IMO. The 4.2 is a dog, about as fast as a stock 335. A modded n54 one would embarrass the S5.

And a propensity to break cam chain tensioners...which require the motor to be pulled to replace.

It's an Audi, you just knew there would have to be people pointing out its flaws. The BMW list is just as long .... Great car. Maybe not as fast as a tuned 335, but plenty fast as it is and that engine sound!

That was the b6 S4. However only a handful of people had issues with it, but it made its way around the forums. On cold starts, the chain would rattle a bit until the hydraulic tensioners built up pressure, alot of people were concerned it was the early signs of a chain failure. The hype got me so concerned that I got rid of my 2005 s4 cab.

Pre-2009 4.2 motors had timing belt, so when replacing tbelt and water pump, most of the front end needs to come off too...Not the easiest motor to work on, but nonetheless, beautiful driving experience...

Looks like I made the right decision then. The S5 is still a work of art in my eyes. I hope you enjoy it and if you ever decide to sell just know you don't have to look far

Yes to an extent, but if you put a supercharger on the S5 it would stomp even the top modded N54's for about the same cost.

I think its a bit faster than my 335i stock nota lot buta bit. I still own my 335i, and i think this is a much nicer car to drive. Just all around nicer. But my modded 335i is faster of course.
