Music on USB...indexing limit?

I have about 37K music tracks on my 2TB USB HDD. So far after about 20 mins the car still has not completed indexing the music tracks yet. So it got me wondering if there is some sort of limit to the number of tracks iDrive can index?

Same problem here with a 32gb USB. 1200 songs take me ~5-7 minutes to fully load and be functional.

Holy crap 37k tracks!! I'd say stick with it, it might complete at some point. I have something like 6000 and even that takes a while when it re-indexes. You can't search, you can't see the current subset in the HUD...but eventually it catches up. With 37k, you might need to drive across country, lol.

LOL! Yeah I knew I was taking a risk but I didnt feel like selectively choosing which songs to put on my USB HDD. Much easier to blindly drag and drop! That is why I got a 2TB HDD! Oh well, we will see if iDrive doesnt gag on my library.

BTW, I read somewhere the limit is 16K songs idrive can index??

I haven't verified this personally, but from previous posts, I believe the limit is 40,000 tracks.

Mine took about 15 minutes to index, and I have a lot less than 37K...

Just found out voice search does not seem to work with my large library. It worked when I texted it with only 2 artist but now when I say "search artist", the car replies with "loading media" or something like that. It doesn't ask me to select an artist. I guess my large library made idrive gag.
