Garage List
Sounds like the good old wastegate rattle. How many miles on the car? Do you have any boost leak? Log your car and see if you're hitting target boost. May be a boost leak or just plain wastegate rattle. Almost everyone has them, some worse than others.

Waste rattle 100%.

If you are 8yrs under 86k miles, BMW will replace it for free.

New turbo time of you want it fixed... May be able to get the dealership to fix if your inside the mileage year limit and you are getting codes also.. Have a friend who just got his replaced due to rattle and codes related to turbos being on their way out.
