When renaming TRC file to MAN, it stays as TRC and NSCExpert doesn't recognize it..

So I'm trying to code my windows up/mirrors fold by using my key fob, and I got the profiles all set up but after changing it from nicht aktiv to aktiv, and renaming the TRC backup file to FSW_PSW.MAN the file still shows as a TRC file and NCSExpert doesn't recognize it as a MAN file so it's not letting me move on.. Anyone else experience this..?? I'm using Windows XP 32 Bit and NCSExpert 4.0.1 with all the newest profiles for my E92..

Thanks

Read out module, do your nicht_aktiv to aktiv, save .trc file. Now open the trc file again and copy the whole content and paste it in to the existing man file. After that continue with ncs.

I actually downloaded Notepad++ and it lets you save the file as whatever you name it so that worked fine.. And now I'm faced with a different issue.. I got the windows to go up/down but only by the door handle.. My comfort access key isn't working, is there another thing I need to make aktiv since I have Comfort Access Keyfob's..??

Thanks in advance..!

Change KOMFORTSCHLIESSUNG_FB to aktiv in CAS module.

Also in Notepad you can save to whatever extension. When you choose save as from the menu then change the extension to all files and typ in the name of your file + extension.

Hmmm I could have swore I did do it that way.. I'll have to double check tomorrow.. is that the line specific to comfort access..?? I remember reading somewhere that cars with comfort access were different than cars without comfort access when it came to coding..

Lmao you did brother, and the updated files as well which I appreciate, but I thought that was only for loading all the stuff into INPA and what not lol... I didn't realize I could code in/out functions by using that program also..!

This was my first real attempt at coding anything so I felt accomplished at first, but now not so much haha..

Did I give you a link showing how to code digital speed with the coding tool? It would be the same process for any aktiv/nicht aktiv coding in any ecu. Do you need it? Coding tool is good for updating your SP daten and coding as well

You need to go into folder options and tick the option that shows file extensions.

Then you can change the extension.

What you did was change the file name, not the extension.

But use NCS Dummy and you don't have to worry about any of this.
