E90 330xi OBD port won't communicate with steering angle sensor

I have a 2006 330xi and the 4x4 light is on as well as the brake light and the blinkers won't reset after i make a turn and start off assistance is inactive. I got it scanned with the Snap On Solus scanner and it said the steering angle sensor was plausible so i changed it. I went back to program the new steering angle sensor and the scanner wouldn't connect to anything that had to do with the steering, yet it connects with the rest of the car to clear other codes like service engine soon... Does anybody know where else to check before I bring the car back and they charge me a fortune?

Thanks

You need to re calibrate steering angle sensor using tool32 and a suitable cable...

Thanks man! But, shouldn't the $8000 Snap On scan tool be able to do it? Im just trying to understand, not questioning your knowledge...

I don't know about your scan tool sorry. But be in no doubt, for BMW a free copy of BMW Standard Tools and a cheap $30 cable is far more powerful than your $8000 tool. Sorry.
