So whos off now for Crimbo?

I am as of today ......but um, kinda getting bored already

I was really looking forward to some long down time, but it takes a bit of getting used to when your so used to be so effin busy throughout the year.
I know it'll get better, tis just the initial shock of not having to do anything

Merry Christmas to all of you and yours

Merry Christmas to you all!

Farming, although a little quieter this time of year, if you have livestock it's 365 days of the year!

Still, it means I have a ready made excuse if the company gets tiresome!

My last day is next Tuesday (22nd) then it's up to North Yorkshire on the 23rd and back down south on the 27th but I'm actually on holiday until Monday Jan 11th!

My holiday 'year' at work ends on March 31st and I still have 20 days holiday to take (after my Christmas break) plus just under 400 hours (yup that's four hundred!) time off in lieu that's owed to me. Don't think I'll be doing much in Q1 2016

There's still work coming in, which is unusual for this time of year, maybe to do with the weather! So i might as well earn some more dough.

Need to do a whole years cashbook, mileage & tax return admin over Christmas though.

That's a bitch, pleased I don't work Christmas or New Year these days.

Far to many sober New Years and working Christmas days.

Managed to change jobs before Christmas, so I start on the 5th. Have 11 hours to work on Monday and Tuesday and have been off for the past two days. Pretty much haven't done much in December at all. More time to pick the perfect car spec

Retired 10 years ago, a month after my 56th. birthday, so Bank Holidays / Weekends etc. are no longer special, they all just morph into each other.

Do you regret retiring early a bit then?
