About to sell the wife's q5 and it needs a good scrub -only three years old but a good detail would do it wonders.

Anyone used a mobile detailer around Sydney recently that they would recommend?

Super Clean Auto, they would charge for the drive up because they are usually in the Illawara but they do an amazing job.

$55 deal at the moment and the guy spent 5 hours on my car!!!

I got him to also apply wax.

He did the best job I have even seen in a car, I thought I was derailed but he was better haha, very impressed

If you're about to sell the car, I wouldnt bother with a paint correction given the age. You'll never get the money back. Just a rinse and sponge will make it look better than 90% of private seller cars on the market lol

Deal was $55, I paid an extra $30 to have it waxed.

So $85 for 5 hours.

I paid him $100 because it was Xmas Eve.

The job would usually be a $160 he said plus the $30 wax so $190 Job for $85.

They are a new company so looking to get in cheap and impress people, and he really was good, the best ive seen.

Detailing is hard yakka and time consuming, most places charge $40 for a wash in Newcastle and more if your car is excessively dirty (bug guts from a country trip)

Hey Eb89 thanks for the heads up about SuperClean detailing. I referred him my friend who he helped out today. Spent about 8 hours. And pretty much saved him from a full respray.

My mate left his car sitting outside near the beach for about 2 years in the sun. The paintwork was actually not bad prior to this. Amazing

Hells yeah he does an amazing job, I'm going to get him back for a clay bar and machine polish and wax next time.

EB89, I called the guys and he was busy the day I wanted it done. I went with Supreme Mobile Car Detailing -strong reviews and apparent engagement by car companies doing car shows.

In summary very disappointing -should have got your guys to do it on a different day. Live and learn.
