Navroid Android Box
Hi, I'm looking for an OEM Navigation system to my F30 (2014) car, beacuse in Hungary there is no Real time traffic information availabe with the Professional navigation system.
I'm using Waze on my iPhone 6, it works fine, but i don't want to integrate an mirroring solution. Currently my setup is a Brodit Holder+ srtreaming the audio via blutooth to idrive. I would like to have an integrated system to the iDrive Controll display. I found a Korean manufacturer, they offer a complex solution. Touchscreen display+ Android based in car multimedia + GPS system. I'dont know how LTE/GSM modul can integrate, but IMHO it's feasble somehow. My question is: do you have any expreince with Navroid box and/or what is your opinion about the above mentioned solution? Source: http://www.navitechus.com/#!navroid-...d-44-box/c1t3c |

Beacuse in Hungary no RTTI is available, i choosed consciously the Base screen (6.5") option for the controll display. It means i have absolutelly no factory nav installed (business or professionall). This the main reason why i'm looking for a nav retrofit with different feature that the factory unit.

From the looks of it, you'll be doing the same type of installation with this as you would with the screen mirroring. Having just installed one(bimmer-tech) in my HU-Entry, it's about as best as I can ask for without having the actual nav. Everything was plug and play, and the only splicing I had to do was for the power the the mirroring module, and that went into the extra harness that went in. Given that you have to run an extra speaker, an extra mic, and an extra antenna, would make it not worth it for me. With the screen mirroring module that was included with the bimmer-tech package, you are able to mirror over WiFi or by USB. I haven't had a chance to try the USB out yet, but since I have an Android, I doubt I'll get the same features that apple has.
Plus, with going that route, if your car didn't have a backup camera, you could add one in along with a front facing camera since the F30's never had one. |

I guess the ultimate solution will be the Carplay: http://www.bimmerfile.com/2015/09/05...screen-idrive/

Szerencséd van
Szia!

I found a new alternative, named AVIN. It is also an android based aftermarket navigation solution, but has a really big advantage the 3G USB modem support.

But Navroid support 3G dongle as I know. But it is bluetooth and Wifi capable. I use carfi which is the best solution for me. If you go abroad it is easy to change the sim. http://www.ebay.com/itm/HUAWEI-E8377-CarFi-In-Car-LTE-4G-3G-Mobile-WIFI-Wireless-Modem-SimFree-Caravan-/201438211682?hash=item2ee6a72e62:gxIAAOSwQTVWCAO n Last edited by bmw-e70; 01-27-2016 at 01:32 AM.. |
