"Angelina" 335i

I've been lurking the forums for the last month and impressed with everyone's contribution and build threads. I posted a few pics in the picture thread but not with the new rims.

Here is "Angelina"... She's new to me for about a month. I am told she is a 2009 335i individual with m sport pack. Angelina was named by her previous owner who is a mate of mine. He bought her in 2010 after his divorce and Angelina was the girl in his life during that period.

I swapped my C63 AMG with my mate for Angelina. It was kind of a cool way to sell and buy cars.

Angelina has a JB4 with DCI, ETS FMIC, charge pipe and Tial BOV. I've since changed over the Msport rims for some M4 replica rims which run a little wider at the rears. I've since added some conservative spacers front and rear which has improved the stance marginally.

She's a completely different car from my C63 but I feel like she's not much slower with the mods. I love the E92 shape and although some say I downgraded, it doesn't feel like a downgrade at all.

Angelina now lives in my garage with my E36 M3 Evo.

Pretty interesting colour combination.
I like the M4 wheels in black - quite a classy look.

Welcome!

The C63 note is pretty hard to forget. I removed the secondary cats with a custom H pipe and also did a resonator delete. It never droned but cold start would wake the dead. When you get on it, it was something else.

To answer some of the ^^^^^ questions, the colour is ruby black. It does have legal tint but the cream interior makes it lighter. The rims are 19s but they look like 20s because of the design. It is a DCT which I think was an option on the coupes and convertibles in 09.

Thanks for the welcome. I like this place. I'm not sure whether there will be further mods. I do have the BMS catch can and meth kit sitting at home. I will definitely install the catch can but I don't know if I want the hassle of running meth.

Yes there was a cash adjustment. The deal was done because I'm looking at other investments and there was a lot of resources tied up in a car.

Is yours ruby black too? I wonder how many are around. I've not seen another BMW in Perth with the same colour but they must exist.

I've always loved GTRs in midnight purple. This has more burgundy red than purple but it's still a nice colour.

Same here.... what trim have you got inside, wood grain? Finding a trim colour to go with the cream trim is hard to nail

I am in Perth too.

Where did you get the M4 rims? And what spacers have you used?

It has black wood trim and black contrast stitching on the seats. I think the type of leather and shade of cream is different too. The leather trim is extended onto parts of the dash and centre console. It also seems softer than other non individual 335i I've been in. I could be mistaken but my butt tells me the leather feels different.

I'm starting to see that with BMW there seems to be so many variations and combinations.

I bought the M4 replica rims from Westate Autobahn in Perth. With the spacers I went with 5mm in the rear and 3mm in the front. Pretty tame but with the wider rear rims 9.5 inches it sits quite nicely with no rub. The pics don't show the spacers installed. I took the pics before I did that.

I'd like to go with wider spacers but will need to get hub centric ones longer bolts otherwise it would be too dangerous.

At least get the catless dps done to free up some extra killereasps that was locked away due to green hippies in suits.

And just to give the middle finger to prius owners...

I thought all BMS spacers are hub centric ones?
Where did you get your current spacers?
And how much are the M4 rims?
Have you changed to non RFT?
Yours is BMW individual, all leather and colour are different than standard combinations.
I saw one before that was selling at chellengworth in Claremont, exactly the same combination as to yours.

Atleast the 335i doesn't burn fuel like the c63. All that power and economy in one. Hard to beat the 335i just because of the power/fuel consumption goodness.

Love your thinking... It was important to do whip cracking, gurgly and poppy downshifts in the C63 next to Prius drivers.

I bought the current spacers from Auto One/Autobahn. They don't lock into the hub and they are slip ons. PM me for the price of the rims. Yes, not running RFT anymore. The previous owner slapped on some cheapies on the rear which are refusing to die. I've turned off boost limits in the first few gears to try to fry the tyres quicker.

I wonder if you saw Angelina at Chellingworth. She was sold as a secondhand near new car in 2010 to my mate. Prior to being on the yard it was a one owner eastern states car.

Thanks BMJ. I was going to go with CSL style rims which run slightly more concave in the rear but I felt like it was over done. The M4 style is slightly different and less common (for now).

Yup, Angelina averages about 10-12 litres around town. The C63 on conservative runs would average about 15 - 18 litres around town.
