Which version of the TCU flash did you go with, the 7615835, or something else?

Yes, 7615835 is the latest (2/23/2010.) Some folks prefer 7603537 (4/23/2009.)

My personal experience, but, I've only had the car for 6 or 7 weeks now:
7615835 - shift points in D are way too low. 6th gear going 40mph is a PITA and it just makes the car feel meeeeh unless you pound the gas in D. S mode is nice and I almost never use M but the shifts were pretty smooth 7601494 - shift points are higher and much less annoying. You miss out on the D1...6 but I wasnt a fan of that to begin with nor did I find it necessary. S mode is much more responsive, higher shift points and IMO smoother shifts than 7615835. D does have some 'nuances' I'm trying to get used to and its definitely not stock. I havent even bothered to 'fix' my paddles since I never use them and the gear selector still allows me to manually shift but maybe I'll do it tonight. Anywho, enough about me. I found this on another thread once I realized 7615835 was annoying me and I was actually trying to find a way to go back to stock: Hope that helps someone |

Banana,
Do you know what models/years/production dates these are good for? I have heard the Alpina B3 flashes are only good for 3/07 and newer production dates (I'd love to know what the change was to hardware/modules/software that made this work as of 3/07). Thanks! |

The interface and ECU of the car changed, so only after 03/2007 has the updated parts for it to actually work.
