vodafone

Just wondering if anyone on here has any links to Vodafone

On Monday they decided to royally screw my account up. My contract was ending on Jan 5th so in November I upgraded my phone as was eligible for early update and my S4 was on verge of dying.

Did it via Carphone Warehouse as only place had the model I wanted in stock. All went through fine until Monday. When my number went out of service.

2 days now numerous calls and webchats each time assured its fixed and still nothing. Not helpful when using phone for business.

If I ring my number just flags as unknown number. Just wondering anyone on here can help

Loosing will too live with thought of another 45 minutes on hold

What a nightmare - very similar to what they did to me a few years back - and the reason I binned them.

You'll probably find they've shipped a new SIM to you and transferred the number to that.

Have you tried the online chat? Idiots yes but saves waiting on the phone. Failing that a visit to a store might be best.

As a last resort, I'll be passing their HQ at the weekend and can log on their doorstep for you?

Vodafone are w@nk!

I've never looked back since switching to EE. Plus their 3G/4G coverage is far superior to Vodafone. Shame BMW use Vodafone network for their 3G connection.

sorry can't help agree that the CS is pants but their prices for 12 month iPhone contracts and spotify are the cheapest by a margin. Plus I find their 4g the best. I wanted to walk after 20 years with them so they gave me 40% off so maybe try and cancel? I had to go through hoops to get to the retentions team though!

Vodafone are absolutely useless when you need to interact with them and their signal coverage is awful.

Our business uses them currently and we will be dropping our contract of 50+ phones later this year.

Awful.

This. I hate them with a vengeance. Swapped 16 months ago & haven't looked back. Had to call EE yesterday & was through talking to an English person in an English call centre within 30-40 seconds.

Leave Voda as soon as you can.

Terrible signal

Terrible service

What's to like, apart from loads of expensive ads and sponsorship!?

I wanted to use them as they offer wifi calling on iPhone 6 and all networks have bad reception in our house. But since switching my account to them in October I've had no mobile data. probably spent four hours on the phone to them in total trying to fix it.

Depending on where you live and where you go.

All networks are shit in places! EE can't even manage a 2G voice call in my house even with years of complaining, but get 4G on VF faster than Infinity.

For me I'm more than happy with the coverage I get from VF based on the places I visit.

Totally agree.
Used to get "No Signal" while at work when with EE! Supposedly a known problem, but never sorted!!

Now get 4G on Vodafone.

I think they're all as bad as each other. Fine if it works and shit service when it doesn't

Phone their disconnections team. Tell them why you're leaving, and if they can't fix your issue no one will.

Thanks for replies would be good to leave them but tied in to the contract now. I've given up on chat and calls as neither have resolved it. Going to go into town tomorrow and knock some heads at Carphone warehouse and Vodafone.

Its to do with the account not SIM as otherwise if I rang my mobile I Woudl get unavailable or my voicemail instead getting unknown /unrecognized number

I have 4G Vodafone and it's an absolute joke but as I don't pay for it I can't really do much about it.

Having said that I'm not sure any network is that good, things were better in the analogue days TBH in terms of holding a conversation and it not dropping out.

Remember they have breached the contract already so you have rights. Go in strong my friend....

Garage List
I can't help either unfortunately, but concur Vodafone have categorically THE worst customer service of all of them I've dealt with (o2, ee, vodafone, orange..when they were Orange!). Last time my missus spoke to them to get her PAC code in order to leave, the guy was so rude she was practically in tears at the end of the call.

I was with them years back, and for reasons unknown to me, they decided to change my account and contract without warning onto £60 a month (from £30!). Then took weeks for them to put it back to normal. Got my money back, but no apologies or sweetners after the event - I was made feel like it was my fault! Left them eventually due to no signal in the house at all and them refusing to do anything to help with it, even though they were advertising how they were dishing out signal boosters at that point. After that, when I left, they screwed up transferring my number to the new provider (o2, as I got a deal through work at the time).

My wife then changed from o2 to Vodafone (same deal through my work), again they cocked up the number porting, and it took a fortnight to sort out.

Most recently (as mentioned above), after the frankly shocking phone call she had trying to simply get her PAC code as her contract was well and truly finished....it had expired the month before in fact, they then managed to once again fuck up porting the number. O2 said that once the number was ported from Vodafone, the temporary O2 number would be deactivated, as the old ported across number would be active. Both phones went dead. O2 confirmed there was nothing they could do as the porting the number over from Vodafone process needed to be primarily handled by Vodafone. Vodafone said it was O2's problem.

Turns out it was Vodafones problem as the porting had "got stuck". So the problem dragged on again, for over 2 weeks (and we were on holiday for most of that, so couldn't afford to spend hours on the phone from abroad). We were told the porting process should only take 3 days max.

No apology, no compensation, they just didn't give a fuck.

Absolute shower of shit. I'd not touch them with a barge pole again.
