Successful remote start?

Are there any after-market options that are reliable for a remote start for the X1? I just moved to Colorado and finding the remote start on my Suburban pretty handy! Most places here to not have a garage!

Unfortunately warming up your car unattended is illegal in Colorado (and many other places, including Germany) and you can be ticketed for warming your car up unattended.

Also, check with your insurance carrier, I'm not sure but you may have some issues claiming full insurance coverage if you leave your car running unattended and it gets stolen.

Plus, having somebody hack that feature into a BMW that doesn't support it seems like a recipe for trouble, possibly bypassing the key encryption, splicing into the ignition wires, etc.

If it was me, I'd buy a sweater.

Wild! I use my remote start here in CO all the time! I love it, but you know I lived lots of years without it! Ha! Thanks for the heads up!
