Trunk Light Bulb Change?

Hi All,

I have the following trunk light and I am trying to switch out the bulb for an LED bulb but there is a metal plate covering the bulb. Anyone know if the plate is removable or do I have to replace the whole light?

The plate is removable - just snaps off/on to replace the stock bulb

The LED trunk light I bought from HPB was the entire housing etc. so it was just a simple swap of the entire thing

Just slide it off. You can always bend it back to original shape..

Hi, my first post here. I have 12 year old (2007) E93 325i (Australian model).
I am slowly cleaning up the car.
The trunk light is not working. I have levered it out, somewhat, but unable to find a catch the release it. Looking for a tab, or the like, and afraid I might break a clip or something.
Anyone off er any advise on this removal, regards

Push the light to the left to compress the plastic tab and the it will just pop out
(check out the spring tab in the pic)
