Mrs W\'s 20d X drive M sport

Its finally with us. Only been from the dealer to home and I haven't had a chance to drive it yet, but I like it, yes it does probably look more like an estate than an SUV because of the body coloured lowers, but in the flesh the contours of the body kit and the little diffuser do look good. The 19 inch wheels are awesome and the black leather with the blue stitching is very nice plus the M sport logos in the seats are a cool touch.
Sadly the weather is a bit rubbish today so only got a few photos so far, but will add more and some thoughts once I have had time to play with the car a bit.

Not got the hang of swinging my foot to open the tailgate yet though!

It is amazing how quickly the gloss black picks up dust! Just noticed the the dash top needs a good wipe as well

Looks Great. Love the look of those wheels, although I couldn't get away with them round here (Too many potholes).

And you've made me change my mind again, I'm dropping mineral white (was just trying to go for something different seeing as this would be our fourth white car) and sticking with alpine white. It looks clean and crisp, will match my F10 and it allows me to add the sport active steering and lumber support without breaking my £41k ceiling (prior to discounts)

Thanks really appreciate the pictures

No worries. If any specific pics are needed I will do my best to get them. I will do some of the interior and some more detailed stuff if it brightens up a bit over the weekend.

I think the neighbours think I am mad already as I have been sat outside playing with bits and bobs in the dark

Heated steering wheel is nice and toasty

Congrats! I love my Alpine White x1. I had an ms port on my previous gen but went with the x line this time around. The car looks good and I am sure those m sport seats are great but I just cant get past the rear end styling. How do you feel about it?

At the dealer I noticed they had an X4 M sport which has a similar rear to the X1 so it is obviously a design direction BMW are chasing. It isn't the car's best feature for sure, but I can't say I dislike it. Was a little apprehensive when we went to pick the car up as we hadn't seen one in the flesh and for sure the X line does seem to photograph better. Overall we are both happy we went for the M sport.

One thing I should mention is that the M sport gets an M key

I had the same dilemma, however after driving myself mad over this over the last week your pictures helped me come to a decision. For me I was worried about the rear bumper from official pictures and seeing 1 Series with the same treatment. However I can't get over all the plastics on the xdrive, sorry but just looks cheap to me unless you want a darker colour where it's bearable and allows the aluminium accents to stand out. Does nothing for a white car but make it look ungainly imho. Although I'd prefer the traditional rear diffuser as on my F10, it's a design direction BMW are going for. I will go for an M Sport when I hopefully place my order for my wife's new car tomorrow, as the negatives outweigh the positives for me...

It is a good car I am genuinely impressed with it. Whichever model I think that BMW have this car spot on.

Just woke up to see your photos, congrats on getting your car!! And it looks fantastic! Best real life photos yet of an AW M Sport (obviously you've got a good camera/lens too). Now I feel happier and more certain about my order, so thank you!!
