How do you guys wash your microfiber towels

I bought some Chemical Guys mf soap and washed all of my new towels in my washing machine. This is all fine and dandy since they were all clean and new. However, idk if I feel comfortable putting towels that are covered in chemicals or brake dust into the washer. My wife and one of my kids are a bit sensitive to chemicals. There could be issues with washing their clothes after washing mf towels.

Even though I washed my towels in our regular washer for years with no issues (she is extremely sensitive, too), my wife now loves the fact that we inherited a free second washing machine that is exclusively for all my car stuff! It at least makes her feel better!

Did you run an empty load after washing the towels? I was thinking that doing that may flush out whatever chems are still in the washer.

I didn't. There is usually a rinse cycle that is pretty complete that gets rid of soap, etc.

Using unscented, unfabric sofenered, plain old cheap detergent with Griots microfiber cleaning solution and some vinegar. Works great so far!

If you have a wash bucket with a grit guard you can do a presoak and it will remove some of the dirt/ grime. Then just run through an extra rinse cycle once they are washed. I find that helps to ensure no debris remains in the washing machine as well.
