Center jacking point?
I was looking for a center jacking point in the owners manual like my 1 series had but did not see one mentioned. I crawled up under it and did not locate one. Anybody done it? Seems I can only remove one wheel at a time, I wanted to flip them from one side to another

I just jacked my car this weekend for some performance mod.
I basically looked at http://www.2addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1133432 ... but mine wasn't visible like his was. The center jack is deep towards the end of the engine and it is covered. You need to remove the 3 million bolts to expose the center jack point I drove up on ramps, removed the under cover, and placed the jack there. You could also jack it up from the side from the recatnle plastic peice but i would highly recommend purchasing the rectangle jack adapter > http://www.ebay.com/itm/Universal-fo...186676&vxp=mtr As for the rear i jacked it up from the frame, or maybe it was the cross-member? Anyway it's right before the diff. Last edited by StarMan; 02-21-2016 at 09:48 PM.. |

It's hard to explain but once you take it off you can find it easily. It is towards the back of the under panel in the middle. There are 3 holes in a line, and its under the middle one.
I just got jack adapters on ebay, I think they were like 4 for 20 bucks or something. They work great and I've used them many, many times.

up underneath there is a hole in the cover that enters a hole in the cross pillar. it is a center jacking point on a tubular engine cross member that they use a jack with a centering peg to center. I lifted there
