AA8 Tune Dial Settings?

(reposting from F22 forum as more users here)

I received the AA8 tune for my 228i yesterday and plan to install it at the weekend, but I am unclear of the function of the dial on the back of the box. It's labeled 0-F in hex (0-15 in decimal) and it came set to 6. I read elsewhere that each step is 0.3psi boost more, but starting at what, and do all 16 steps do something? I have the install instructions from their website, and I guess I expected more to come in the box, but there were none. I pinged AA by email last night but they have not yet responded.

Default should be 3.5 psi
Andrew would be the best to answer this question, give them a call 800-830-3596

Got in touch with Andrew from AA who confirmed that 6 is the intended default, and is the maximum recommended map for an otherwise stock N20 on 91 gas.

Andrew from AA can answer. You can probably PM him if you want. I too am kinda curious about the different maps and parameters on the back of the box here are a few i tried...

Also I had NO issues and no malfunction indicators or drive train malfunctions.
Map 6 -I used daily with 93 Octane.
Map 7- Used at track with 101 Octane, shifted great and felt very fast!
Map 8 - Used with 101 Octane,(got best 1/4 times!), but the shifts felt a little harsh? (Maybe hit torque limit in trans?)
I did not try MAP 9- ran out of time at track and a little worried about running on bone stock intake, charge pipes, and exhaust...
