Exhaust tip slip-ons
Gotta say I'm not a big fan of shiny chrome looking bits on my car.
The kidneys and the emblems are an easy fix. The tail pipes however are a bit more tricky. Not planning on MPE exhaust any time soon, and I don't like the carbon slip-ons offered by MPE Anyone find a nice tail pipe slip-on to replace the original? (after-market, 1M M3 M4 MPE or other...) |

I'm hoping the MPE Titanium tips fit on standard exhaust. I know this doesn't work on the M3/M4 but that's because of slash cut pipe ends and the peg locator. The M2 has straight cut ends and no peg, so unless pipe dia. Is different then these may fit.

Is that what you did? Is that regular powder coat or ceramic? How's it holding up? Looks good! Oh yeah...how much?

Cyba (vendor) has some for $280 shipped (Canada). I like them...
There are cheaper alternatives including powder coating etc however the quality is quite good for these imo. Can't comment on how they will hold up over time however... Last edited by Dabozo; 12-26-2016 at 10:30 AM.. |

-I received the M3/m4 black tips, they are great but with only my hands i could set 2 the other 2 chrome tips are hard to take off the exhaust line and i am a bit afraid to cause damage to the line, is it possible to do wrong things to the exhaust line while trying to pull them off with hands?
-Let the whole thing cool down before using your hands guys ok - it should be easy but i did it after a long tiring day so .....tomorrow beach day, when back i'll have a try again otherwise i'll go to look for a proper tool to do it. |

WD40, a hammer/mallet and a piece of wood beteeen hammer and tail pipe is all you need. In fact, you may even be able to pull off by hand with just the wd40. The lube is the key!! Just get in there with the little straw attached to the can of lube.

Do yourself a favor. strap wrench makes it extremely trivial.

Has anyone sprayed the inside of their exhaust pipes black with high heat paint prior to installing black tips? I think it would look better just not sure how it would hold up.
